If you are planning to buy a BlackBerry Storm you should not read David Pogue's review on the NY Times that just got published. He comes down really hard on the BlackBerry Storm with statements like: "How did this thing ever reach the market? Didn’t anyone at RIM actually try it? Or was everyone involved just too terrified to pull the emergency brake on this train?"
Preview reviews also been negative, complain about sluggish response, and bugs, but Pogue declares pretty much that the BlackBerry Storm is not usable.
The pressure is on RIM to improve the Storm firmware as fast as possible. I hope for them that they get a first update out before Christmas.
Read the full review on the NY Times.
In the meantime Verizon announced today that they will have extended shopping hours for the first holiday shopping season starting Black Friday to give you more time to check out the Storm.
