Thanksgiving and Black Friday Deals

Black Friday is supposed to mark the biggest sales day of the year. The first reports appear from the parking lots and malls throughout the nation on the shopper turn out. USA Today says shoppers cautiously appear.
There have been already lines, but apparently the notion is less turn out than last year. LA Times has a report from the not to shabby turnout at the Citadel Outlets in the City of Commerce which opened already 11pm on Thanksgiving Day. The Chicago Tribune has some reports including that Walmart opened even before 5am so people did not had to wait in the cold. CNN's report about Black Friday quotes a woman saying: "It's Black Friday. You have to shop on Black Friday."
And this is what people do. As far as I see shoppers turn much more to online buying this year. Sales have been going on the whole month already and if you search a bit you can match almost any doorbuster deal of the brick and mortar shops. Yesterday on Thanksgiving Day we saw the biggest traffic day from visitors looking for the best online deals so far of this Holiday shopping season. My prediction is that overall sales for retailers will work great for this year as well despite economic turmoil.
