When I saw the Thames & Kosmos Electronics Workshop 1 featured in the Wired Magazine I was immediately taken back to my youth and to my little electronics lab I got over 25 years ago.
The Thames & Kosmos Electronics Workshop 1 looks though so much more engaging than my first circuit board. The 68 page manual actually is written like a Sci-fi story and takes kids through 148 projects with the story.
The Thames and Kosmos Electronics Workshop 1 is for kids 10 years and up.
Amazon.com sells the Thames and Kosmos Electronics Workshop 1 for $99.95.
By the way a subscription to Wired Magazine ($10 for 1 year on Amazon) is also a great gift for those who are into the tech culture. They still manage to keep me interested since years.
