We reported in October that the Japanese market Sega Body Trainer will be available as FiTrainer in the United States. Now Itami takes pre-orders for the Fitrainer with shipping date to be January 2009.

FiTrainer uses the Karvonen Method to determine your ideal “Training Heart Rate” (THR), a system that was developed in association with the IPA and recommended by the American College of Sports Medicine. The FiTrainer is easy to use and after you input your age and exercise mode, simply simply put on the headset and attach the Heart Rate Sensor to your earlobe. Press the START button to begin the warm-up exercise. Follow the narration from the speaker and move accordingly to the rhythmic beat and music. Try to stay within your Ideal Heart Rate Zone during the workout. When the routine is over, follow the warm down sequence.
