Virgin American Airlines has announced that its Gogo inflight Internet service has launched. The service is provided by Aircell and is available for passengers on select flights. The launch of the Gogo service on select flights makes the start of Virgin's fleet wide rollout for Gogo service.
On November 22, the service was launched on the first week the service was complementary to passengers. The normal price for the service will be $12.95 for flights over three hours and $9.95 for flights under three hours.
"By first committing to and now beginning to execute on a fleet-wide roll-out of Gogo, Virgin America is once again raising the bar for the standard of a superior inflight guest experience," said Jack Blumenstein, Aircell President and CEO. "With two U.S. airlines now offering the Gogo service and more coming soon, today marks the next step toward ubiquitous Inflight Internet."
