More Notebooks and PCs News
Asus has announced the addition of two new Eee Box computers to its line. The new machines are the Eee Box B204 and B206. The big improvement for the two systems is that they both offer the ability to support HD content and feature HDMI outputs for linking to big screen TVs in the living room.
The B204 is the most interesting of the pair offering HDMI out, Bluetooth, and an integrated battery that works like a UPS power supply to protect the PC from power fluctuations. Other than Bluetooth and the battery, the two machines are the same.
Other features include 1GB of RAM, Windows XP Home, 160GB HDD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and graphics via ATI Radeon HD 3400 series discrete video card with 256MB of DDR2 RAM. Audio is via Realtek ALC662 Azalia CODEC and optical audio output is supported. Pricing and availability of the systems is unknown at this time.
