(RED) is familiar to gadget hounds and those who follow technology products. Some of the largest tech companies around like Dell and Apple have created special (RED) versions of their products to help raise money to fight AIDS in Africa. Microsoft is now getting into the (RED) action with a special version of Windows Vista Ultimate.
If you are wondering what the difference between the normal Vista Ultimate offering and the (RED) version is, the answer is not that much. Vista (RED) will include (PRODUCT)RED wallpapers, gadgets, a unique screensaver and DreamScene.
The OS is available in full retail versions and at a discount for college students. Students can get Vista Ultimate (RED) upgrade edition for $64.95 with $10 going to the Global Fund. If you need a new copy of windows Vista Ultimate for your latest PC build, the (RED) version may be perfect for you.
