MSI is one of the top five in the netbook business and offers one of the most popular netbook computers around. Laptop Magazine had a talk with MSI's Andy Tung, director of U.S. sales about plans for the Wind next year and what we will see at CES 2009.

Changes to the Wind will include a new U120 model that will sell alongside the U100 Wind we are already familiar with. The U120 will have a new design to attract more mature markets (read a fancier design for adults and business users). I can imagine it being something along the lines of the aluminum clad Asus Eee 1002HA I reviewed recently.

The U120 will offer WiMAX and 3G connectivity options and hit the US market in January. The U120 and U115 will use the new Intel Z530 processor and the U115 will sport a SSD and HDD at the same time and promises ten hours of battery life. MSI also says that the ultraportable U300 will debut at the show with a thin, light, and affordable design that will shock people. A touch screen wind will also be shown at CES 2009.
