Microsoft has started filling the shelves at retailers with the next revision of the Xbox 360 hardware dubbed Jasper. The first reports about the Xbox 360 Jasper appeared back in May. Jasper features a new 65nm GPU instead of the 90nm GPU found in Falcon.
Console hacking expert Ben Heck takes you through the changes found inside the Xbox 360 Jasper over at Engadget.
There are several minor differences on the Jasper Xbox 360 mainboard and of course the new 65nm GPU to be seen.
From an end user standpoint there seems to be no difference between the Falcon and the Jasper hardware. In case you want to have the latest stuff, Ben Heck points to a small indicator on the bar code label of the Xbox 360 box that will tell you if you have a Jasper Xbox 360 in your hand.
If the label reads 12.1A instead of 14.1A you got a new Jasper.
