Nintendo had another record month selling 2 million Nintendo Wii consoles in the United States in November.
This is a new Nintendo Wii sales record for a non-December month.
Surprisingly the Nintendo DS sales have been also very high with 1.56 million units sold. This is the second-highest total for a non-December month in the DS history. The Wii console has sold 15.4 million in the United States since it launched in November 2006, and Nintendo DS has sold nearly 24.6 million in the United States since it launched in November 2004.

Four games made for Nintendo systems placed in the top 10 US best-sellers for November. These included Wii Play at No. 3 with more than 796,000 sold, Wii Fit at No. 4 with more than 697,000 sold, Mario Kart Wii at No. 5 with nearly 637,000 sold and Wii Music placed at No. 9 with more than 297,000 sold, following its long-tail trend.

The Wii was in stock during November and was rather easy to get. For December the situation doesn't look as bright and retailers like online Walmart and Amazon are sold out again most of the time. So congrats to everybody that bought a Wii early as we suggested.
