You know, I really don’t get these massive batteries that you can get on the aftermarket for netbooks like the MSI Wind or the Asus Eee. I totally get the netbook, the big selling points are portability, low-weight, low cost and decent battery life. Many of the Eee rigs can deliver up to five hours of power from stock batteries.
For some users that isn't enough power and for them the Sir Mix-A-Lot approved 10-cell battery has tipped up. This massive battery adds a hiney that is wider than the Eee PC 1000H and 901 machines it is designed to fit.
If you can stomach the strange looks the fat battery is likely to draw, it promises ten to fourteen hours between charges. You will need to be sure that the big battery can fit in your carry case. From the looks of it, the battery will add greatly to the weight of the Eee as well. That is the deal killer for me, if I want a heavy rig I will carry around a more powerful machine.
