NVIDIA GTX 295 Benchmarks Tip Up and Look Suspicious

I talked a bit about the GTX 295 video card rumored to be launching at CEs 2009 in a few weeks. The card is claimed to have dual GPUs like the previous GX2 video cards NVIDIA has marketed. Details were sketchy at the time, and still are.
A website called IT168 has got its hands on an early sample of the GTX 295 and posted what it claims to be early benchmarks of the card. Many are calling BS on the benchmarks for one reason or another. Mostly the claims come from the fact that the benchmark slides look virtually identical to the slides NVIDIA likes to offer in press briefings.
Having sat through many NVIDIA briefings, I can say they look a lot like NVIDIA slides and the card pictured certainly looks like a NV reference design. My money says someone sat through an NVIDIA pre-CES press brief and then leaked the slides provided claiming them to be their own numbers.
