Lenovo has announced new laptops and all-in-one desktop computers ahead of CES 2009. The new systems include IdeaPad laptops called the Y650, Y550, and Y450. The IdeaCenter A600 all-in-one was also announced.
Lenovo says that the IdeaCenter A600 is one of the thinnest all-in-one desktop PCs around. The machine has a 21.5-inch frameless screen and is only 1-inch thick at its thinnest point. The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has a Blu-ray player option. The remote control included with the machine also acts as a motion sensitive game controller. The machine includes 4GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 1TB of storage and Core 2 Duo processors.
The Y650 laptop has a 16-inch screen and weighs less than many 15-inch notebooks according to Lenovo. The Y550 is a 15.6-inch machine and the Y450 is a 14-inch unit. All of the systems can be configured with up to 500GB of storage and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. The notebooks will be available in March starting at $1199 for the Y650, $829 for the Y550 and the Y450. The A600 will launch in April for $999.
