The upcoming Eye-Fi card that can directly upload video to Youtube (see this report) won the Last Gadget Standing 2009 award at the CES 2009. Eye-Fi won LGS 2008 as well.
Despite not being ready the upcoming Eye-Fi card won the heart of the LGS 2009 audience and the crowd has been cheering the loudest. This year I4U News was part of the judging panel at the LGS 2009 and Shane presented the MSI U115 competing in the last 10 yesterday.

The annual Last Gadget Standing competition is a live event where ten gadgets duke it out for consumers’ affection. We and a couple other tech sites in the NetShelter Network reviewed more than 150 products, and narrowed the list to ten gadgets that represent the most relevant products to consumers’ lives, as well as the directions the consumer electronics industry is headed.
At the standing-room-only competition, each of the finalists gave a four minute demonstration of their products to the live audience, who then voted for the gadget they felt was the best.

After all of the finalists gave their presentations, all of the products were introduced again, while a sound meter measured the applause of the crowd. Though it was a close race, the Eye-Fi elicited the most claps and cheers, catapulting it into first place.
More details about the Last Gadget Standing 2009 event can be found on the LGS site.

The HeartMath emWave PSR won the online vote on the LGS site. Thanks to everybody who voted.
