Yesterday we talked a bit about the new Nokia N79 Active handset that offered a Bluetooth belt for monitoring heart rate. If you are the not so active type, but want to help the environment, Nokia has announced another new N79 handset called the Eco.
The Eco comes packed in a smaller box, features a black case with color trim and lacks a charger. Ironically, the phone probably costs less to produce for Nokia, but it carries the same price as the stock N79.
The lack of a charger is the odd bit; Nokia assumes you will have a charger laying around from your old Nokia handset. If you don’t have a Nokia handset, you might as well go with the normal version of the N79. Nokia also donates £4 to the World Wildlife Fund with each Eco version sold.
