Apple unveiled today that the iPhone App Store has now cracked the 500 million download milestone.
iPhone and iPod touch users can currently choose between 15,000 Apps on the App Store.
500 million is a pretty amazing number. There are of course lots of free Apps that users download, where Apple does not make money from, but there are still enough Apps that generate a nice revenue for Apple if the downloads continue to grow in this fast pace.
Just about 5 weeks ago the App Store download counter stood at 300 million.
It will be really hard for Android, Palm, BlackBerry and WinMo to recreate the same adoption as Apple for their App Stores.
