MacRumors put their nose into Apple's iPhone 2.x Firmware and found a new evidence of a next generation iPhone with model number iPhone2,1. The current iPhone 3G is labeled internally as iPhone1,2, while the original iPhone started with iPhone1,1.
The change in the first digit would lead to the assumption that the new iPhone would have different hardware features.
The rumors can run freely again on what the next iPhone will be offering to yet again put the pain on BlackBerry, WinMo, Android and the upcoming Palm smartphones.
Apple has been quite active in the CPU (Multi-Core CPU iPhone Rumor) and GPU area and a new iPhone might have stupendous performance.
