According to new information from The Nielsen Company among the most likely households not to be ready for the February 17th digital transition are Hispanic households. Of the more than 6.5 million homes in America, not ready for the transition, nearly 10% are Hispanic.
Nielsen reports that 9.7% of Hispanic households are not ready for the transition and 9.9% of African-American households aren’t ready for the transition. The percentage of white homes not ready for the transition sits at 4.6%.
It may not matter for now how many homes aren’t ready for the transition. The Senate recently passed a bill that would delay the digital transition till June. The House will be voting on the bill soon, but is expected to approve the bill in some form.
