Verizon Hub Desk phone Gets Launch Date

Verizon Wireless has finally officially detailed its new Verizon Hub desk phone. The Hub is the first VoIP home telecommunications system that features integrated connectivity with the wireless phones used by family members.
The Hub features an easy to navigate touchscreen and allows for the management of several customized applications. Among them are a family calendar that has the ability to send text messaged to mobile phones to remind of appointments and send updates to appointments.
The device also allows directions to be sent to phones using VZ Navigator. Other features include a lookup function for recipes online, the ability to check local traffic and weather, V CAST video and movie summaries and more. The Verizon Hub will be available for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year agreement. Additional cordless handsets for the system are available for $79.99. A wireless router is required for the phone to operate.
