BioWare and EA have announced a release date for Dragon Age: Origins on the PC. The game has been rescheduled for a release in the last half of 2009 from the previously announced early 2009 date. EA says that the move has been made to coincide with the console versions of the game.
Dragon Age: Origins is called a spiritual successor to the BioWare Baldur's Gate franchise and features deep character creation, customization, and role-playing. The game also promises a wealth of gritty and mature sub-plots. Graphically the game reminds me of Oblivion from a few years back.
“Dragon Age: Origins is shaping up to be quite amazing in its level of quality and polish,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA. “I’m really proud of our team, who are working very hard to make Dragon Age: Origins the biggest and most exciting BioWare game yet, and we will work to ensure it not only meets, but exceeds the expectations of our loyal audience of fans.”
