WebTrends is a provider of online website analytics and marketing solutions. According to the firm, it has been able to identify a steady increase in usage of Microsoft Windows 7, which is available in beta format.
According to the analytics company, the early rise in usage of the operating system signals the adoption of the new OS. What would be interesting to know is if the adoption of Windows 7 is higher at this stage than the adoption of Windows Vista was at the same point of its release.
With the bad press and the myriad of issues that many users have had with Windows Vista, it's no surprise to see users going to the new Windows 7 OS even though its only now in beta form. Microsoft has said that there will be no more beta launches of Windows 7 and the next iteration we see will be a release candidate.
