3ailty announced that it was the power behind the rather disappointing 3D episode of Chuck earlier this week. The episode was intended to build on the momentum from the Super Bowl the night before and give watchers something to do with those 3D glasses they had for the Super Bowl.
The big problem was that most watchers weren't able to find the 3D glasses and were left with an irritatingly fuzzy image with lots of green fringe around items in the show. I was one of the many who didn’t find glasses locally and very nearly stopped watching the show.
You can see the episode in both 2D and 3D on NBC.com if you missed it on Monday or live under a rock and don’t have a DVR. 3ailty reports that Intel had distributed 125 million pairs of 3D glasses. We can only hope that the 3D tech in feature films using the 3ailty system look better than the reports of the Chuck episode in 3D.
