Apple is rumored to unveil a new iPhone in 2009 in June. A photo of what is supposed to be the backside of a new 16GB iPhone 2009 has been surfacing last week.
This week a report from research company ThinkEquity Partners is pointing towards Apple having bought up NAND Flash RAM in a big way.
The report claims that Apple has bought all Samsung NAND Flash production until April.
Buying components like Flash chips is done close to production to optimize cost. If Apple is having the iPhone 2009 produced now in the next couple of weeks a June release seems possible.
The hopes are that the new iPhone 2009 is more powerful and supports multi-tasking on a multi-core CPU.
