Wall-E won the Oscar for best animated Feature Film tonight at the Oscars 2009. Wall-E is a Pixar production and beat Bolt and Kung-Fu Panda which also have been in the running.
Wall-E is somewhat splitting the audience many love it, but also a lot find it rather boring. A robot in a Sci-fi movie usually is a recipe for a big star, just see R2-D2.
Andrew Stanton took the stage to receive the Oscar for Wall-E. You can watch him on the Oscar Thank You Cam over at the Oscar site. Wall-E is out on DVD and Blu-ray and you can get it on Amazon.com.
The big winner of the Oscars 2009 is of course Slumdog Millionaire taking home a stunning 8 Oscars. Heath Ledger got his posthumous best supporting actor Oscar as anticipated for his role of the Joker in Batman.
The Winners list of the Oscars 2009 can be found on the Oscar site.
