Say the name Trimble and GPS devices are what jumps to mind for many people. I didn’t even know the company made rugged computers, yet it does. The latest rugged computer in the Trimble line is the Yuma.

The system uses an Atom CPU at 1.6 GHz and sports integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a pair of digital cameras. Expansion slots include SDIO and ExpressCard slots. The rugged system has an ingress protection rating of 67 breaking down to 6 for dust, 7 protection and can be immersed in water up to 1 meter.

Storage for the machine is to a 32GB SSD and the screen is a 7-inch sunlight readable unit. Overall weight for the machine with standard batteries is 2.6 pounds and the approximate size of the machine is 5.5" x 9" x 2" (H x W x D) and it can operate in temperatures from -30 to 60 C.
