Like every year in time for the Geneva Motor Show the Porsche Tuner Rinspeed is presenting an ultra cool concept car that plays with futuristic car ideas.
Last year the Rinspeed presented the sQuba, a emission free roadster that can dive and swim. This year the Rinspeed iChange will debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2009.
The Rinspeed iChange is the world's first car whose body adapts to the number of passengers on board.
In seconds a streamlined one-seater sports car transforms into a comfortable car with ample room for three. The trick: At the push of a button the rear end of the teardrop-shaped car magically pops up.
The iChange is of course powered by an electric engine (150kw). Rinspeed managed to keep the weight at only 1,050kg.
The iChange has a huge glass roof that opens electric. There are no doors.
Rinspeed pays tribute with this concept car to the current situation of the car industry. Still the iChange is the ugliest concept car Rinspeed has presented over the years.
I prefer the looks of the Tesla Roadster.
More details about the Rinspeed iChange can be found on the Rinspeed site.
