Electronic Paper displays have come a long way from just displaying black dots. We saw them starting to show grey scale, then color, becoming really thin and flexible and now flexible ePaper is also touchsensitive.
The ASU Flexible Display Center has developed a flexible electronic paper display that can be used directly as touchscreen.
The flexible touchscreen display supports user input either by stylus pen or by touch.
Below you can see a video of the touchscreen ePaper in action. Apparently the Flexible Display Center works right now with the US Army to bring such displays to the field in 2-3 years. Via Wired. See also the ASU Flexibe Display Center site.
