Today at CeBIT 2009, Microsoft announced expanded commercial availability of Microsoft Surface to 12 select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and has broadened its developer partner ecosystem to support those additional markets with local, relevant content.

The Microsoft Surface is actually quite a nice product. It is unique and innovative, something Microsoft always gets accused of not being. Sure the Surface came right after Apple went introduced multi-touch with the iPhone, but nobody is offering an off the shelf touchscreen table at the moment besides Microsoft as far as I know. Microsoft highlights the following traits about Surface. Surface is Multi-user, Direct interaction, Multi-touch and Object recognition.
Previously available for purchase by companies in the U.S. and Canada, Microsoft Surface is now also available in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Qatar, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates and the U.K.
