Sony LocationFree TV LF-X1 Review

Sony started to sell its line of wireless LCD TVs called LocationFree in the united states.
The Sony LocationFree LF-X1 is a 12.1" Touch Panel TV with built-in Wi-fi. The Sony LF-X5 is a smaller version with a 7" screen. We reported about the Sony LocationFree also called Airboard the first time in January when Sony announced them at the CES 2004.
LIVEdigitally spent a week testing the Sony LocationFree LF-X1 and published a indepth review.

"As an in-home wireless flat-panel TV, it's a great product. The product promises to "set you free to live beyond the living room" which it does to some degree, but definitely not with the ease and simplicity I would hope for. It's very pricey, and has very limited capabilities. For almost $1,500, I think it is an absurd value proposition. If I want a mobile solution, I could buy a media center laptop, and get much more functionality and a much better GUI."
