Kaleidescape has announced a new multi-zone entertainment server in what it calls a compact and affordable package. The system is called the Kaleidescape Mini System and allows you to enjoy music in multiple zones in a single package.

The product is designed to be placed in a living room and is sized like a standard DVD player and priced about 40% less than current Kaleidescape systems. The mini system has a movie zone and two additional built-in music zones.

The Mini System is available now starting at $7995, far from what most of us would really consider affordable. The 1080p Mini player from the company has been price reduced to $1995 as well as the 1080p player moving to $2995.
