Apple launched the hyper successful iPhone App Store in July of 2008 with 500 Apps. Today not even a year later we are looking at 15,000 Apps (number from January). Things were not always pretty with the whole developer NDA disaster, but many developers hit the jackpot with their iPhone Apps and money makes people happy.
CNET has just published an article looking at what Apple did so far to make the iPhone App Store such a runaway success, which now BlackBerry and others want to copy.
The article also lists issues and things Apple should do to improve the App store to be even more successful.
More details on CNET.
