The store is located in The Market at the base of the Comcast Center in Philadelphia. The idea behind the store is to expose consumers to information about emerging technology and to allow them to experience new digital devices.
The location is a retail store and technology lab that opens today and will show off the latest retail products being offered by both companies and preview future Comcast technologies. Technologies on display from Comcast include 100Mbps web surfing and downloading along with an enhanced cordless telephone for the home that allows for emailing, text, and IM services.
Offerings from Sony will include the normal retail store gamut with TVs, laptops, cameras, PSP, and PS3 hardware and software along with new and emerging Sony tech like OLED TVs and more. You can count on some of the big screen OLED TVs that Sony was showing off at CES being on display in the store.
