Gateway has unveiled the new P-7808u FX gaming notebook that features lots of technology at a low price. Typical gaming notebooks cost thousands of dollars thanks to the screen size, graphics, and CPUs used inside the systems. Gateways latest FX series computer retails for $1799.99.

The machine has an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU running at 2GHz with a 6MB L2 cache and a 1066MHz FSB. The 17-inch screen has a 1440 x 900 resolution with graphics via a NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS with 1GB of GDDR3 RAM.

The machine has 4GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD for storage. Other features include a dual-layer DVD burner with LabelFlash technology and HDMI v1.2 out. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and an eSATA port.
