Key Ingredient has launched a new product called the Demy, billed as the world's first touchscreen, kitchen safe digital recipe reader. The Demy reader is set to debut on March 22nd to 24th at the International Home and Housewares show in Chicago.
The device is powered by the digital recipe archive at the keyingredient.com website with a library of over 100,000 digital recipes. The device also allows users to build their own digital recipe collection by cutting and pasting from other sources, typing recipes in, and importing from other websites.
The demy device has a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen and measures 5 x 7-inches with a weight of under three pounds. It is designed to sit flat or stand upright on a counter. When standing upright the device takes up the same amount of counter space as a 3 x 5 index card and the screen rotates automatically. The device is available for pre-order now on Amazon.com and will ship in May at $299.
