When Apple released iTunes 8.1 the Genius for TV and Movies feature was not switched on yet. Now the recommendation service is enabled according to MacRumor.
You can now select a movie or TV series from your iTunes library and activate the Genius feature, which then gives you recommendations on what else you should be buying from the iTunes store.
