A tester of the Palm Pre let out a tweet that has been discovered by preThinking about the release date of the most anticipated smartphone since the iPhone.
Sprint is supposed to release the Palm Pre on April 30th. A quick look at the calendar reveals that April 30th is a Thursday. This does not necessarily sound like the best weekday to launch a new product, but then Palm is not Apple. As far as the tweets of the Pre tester go the Palm Pre seems to be in the final phase of testing. Palm needs to get the Pre out the door well ahead of the iPhone 2009 release expected to happen in June. If it gets too close they risk customers wanting to first see what the new iPhone is all about before jumping on the Palm Pre.
