Slooh probably isn't a name you have heard before; the company is an online space exploration service that puts users behind powerful telescopes in real time.
Slooh has announced a new series of interactive programs that show images from the night sky along with a guided tour for families to view together.
The tours are guided by Otto, the Night Watchdog for the Milky Way Galaxy. Otto takes members on space missions that show stars, the moon, nebulas, and other celestial bodies and provides stories to go along with them.
Among the night missions Otto hosts are "Lunar Risings: The Phases of the Moon" and "Starburst: The Life, Birth, and Death of a Star". The missions each take about 5 minutes and time is purchased in 150-minute increments for $14.99. Mission books are offered at Toys R Us stores around the world.
