Dell Unveils New precision Workstations

Dell has announced a new line of precision workstations that use the new Xeon 5500 series processors recently introduced by Intel. Dells says that the new workstations taking advantage of the 500 series processors offer 90% better multi-threaded digital content creation when compared to previous generation workstations.
Among the new offerings are the Dell Precision T7500, T5500, and T3500 workstations. The T7500 can be optioned with up to two quad-core processors, up to 192GB of DDR3 RAM, dual PCIe x16 video cards and more starting at $1800.
The T5500 is a dual socket Xeon machine offering up to 72GB of RAM and options for dual or single graphics cards starting at $1620. The T3500 can be equipped with up to 24GB of RAM and starts at $999. The machines can support dual or quad monitors and can be fitted with NVIDIA Tesla GPUs or ATI FirePro cards.
