Say the name Nikon and most of us immediately think of cameras, but the company also makes other products. Nikon has announced its new Ecobins binoculars that are designed from the start to be as eco friendly as possible.
The binoculars are available in 10x25 and use Eco-Glass that is lead and arsenic free in the lenses and prisms. The rubber coating is a non-chloride mixture and uses no harmful inks or dyes in production. The ecobins binoculars are rugged, waterproof and fogproof.
Other features include aspherical eyepieces, internal blackening, and multi-coated lenses. The eye relief on the lenses is 15.9mm and the rubber eyecups turn and slide. The ecobins binoculars retail for $169.95.
