Samsung has announced a new line of large format LCD screens that have the world's narrowest bezel. The super thin bezel allows the screens to be placed closer together with less gap in picture when moving from one screen to another on a video wall.
The bezel is only 2.4mm thick on the right side and bottom with the bezel 4.3mm thick on the left and top sides. Samsung doesn't mention why exactly the bezel is a different thickness on two sides. When placed together the total bezel thickness is 7.3mm.
The screens have 700 nits of brightness, the resolution is 1366 x 768, and the contrast ratio is 3000:1. Three models are available including the 460UTn featuring a built-in network PC with XP embedded OS. The 460UTn-UD includes software for creating a video wall up to 250 displays from a single PC.
