Engadget reports that Nikon has a new model up its sleeve for an April 14th launch. Details on exactly what will be launched on that date are scant, but there are plenty of rumors to make baseless assumptions on.
One of the rumors has the new entry-level DSLR featuring an articulating LCD screen, as you can see in the image. Engadget reports that it received a series of spy shots that lend weight to the articulating LCD rumor.
Other rumored cameras that could be introduced on the 14th include a follow-up to the D60 with 720p video recording capability. I suspect that the majority of DSLRs announced now will have the ability to record HD video. This was one of the few things a DSLR couldn’t do that a point-and-shoot could in the past.
