Konami has announced a new video game under development called Six Days in Fallujah coming in 2010 for the PC, Xbox, and PS3. The game is being developed by Atomic Games and is a third person shooter putting the player in the center of the largest urban military operation in 40 years.
The game promises to combine the action of a military shooter with the realism of a documentary for a historical and engaging game. Konami says that the developers of the game worked with 36 marines and used actual satellite imagery, battle plans, and after action reports along with video images and maps to develop the game.
Konami claims that Six Days will be the most realistic shooter ever produced. Players are put into the game as the fire-team leader of a US Marine team. Players will be able to transform the environment by kicking in doors, eliminating enemy cover, and destroying the environment around them.
