Sony Ericsson Reports Loss and cuts another 2,000 Employees

Sony Ericsson warned about the Q1 loss in March. Today the mobile phone maker published the cold hard numbers of the past Quarter and announces yet another round of lay-offs.
The company announced a loss of 293m Euro for the quarter. The same quarter a year ago Sony Ericsson still had positive earnings of 133m.
Sony Ericsson shipped 14.5 million units, a decrease of 35% compared to the same period of last year.
To counter the losses Sony Ericsson decided to cut another 2,000 employees world-wide. The company already cut 2,000 earlier this year.
