The Garmin zumo 660, the newest in the line of biker and cyclist GPS devices, is set to ship at the end of April, just in time for riding season, according to a release from GPS City.
The zumo 660 is the long-awaited follow-up to the successful zūmo 550, first released in 2006. The slim and sleek unit boasts a waterproof casing for the elements, sleek design, 4.3-inch screen with large icons for use while wearing riding globes, and text-to-speech directions audible via a Bluetooth connection. Multiple mounting options round out the device, which comes preloaded with a North American map (other country maps can be purchased on DVD or SD/MicroSD card).
While GPS City provides no specific release date, The GPS Store lists April 29th for availability. Expect the zūmo 660 to run around $799.99.
