Shuttle Announces X270V Linux Nettop

Shuttle has unveiled its latest small form factor system running Linux called the X270V. The small computer is a barebones machine using the Intel Atom platform. The CPU used in the machine is the dual-core Atom 330.
The clock frequency for the CPU is 1.6GHz and the system supports up to 2GB of RAM. The machine will run openSUSE version 11. Other features of the machine includes 6-channel audio, VGA and DVI out.
The chipset inside the little computer is the Intel 945GC+ICH7 and a slimline DVD writer is optional. A single 2.5-inch HDD is supported. A 60W power supply supplies the juice to all components. The X270V is available now with pricing starting at EUR299.
