Mac users who are looking for a flash drive with high storage capacity that is compatible with the Mac OS and offers data encryption have a new option to choose form Kingston. The DataTraveler Vault- Privacy Edition is now Mac compatible and secures data with hardware-based on-the-fly 256-bit AES encryption.

Kingston promises that the flash drive has fast transfer rates and is protected from brute-force attacks by locking down after ten unsuccessful attempts to log into the drive's secure vault. After the drive is locked out, a reformat is required before it can be used again.

The drive comes in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities. Pricing for the drives runs $110 for the 2GB up to $910 for the 32GB flash drive. Certainly not cheap, but protecting sensitive business data is important. The drive is made from aluminum and is waterproof to four feet.
