The Palm Pre is slated for release on June 7th, at least that’s what is being reported on the Sprint Gurus forum where an administrator apparently got their hands on a spreadsheet detailing the release dates of all Sprint phone in alpha/beta testing stages. In the posting, the administrator states, "For those asking about the Pre, there are 2 release windows, one is around 6/7/09 - the other I cannot say much on," but the screenshot of the spreadsheet contains no such information.

Earlier rumors had put the release date at April 30th and May 17th.

Also, Gizmodo is reporting that casting for a Palm Pre viral ad is underway in Seattle, with Pre Central quoting an insider as saying, “The actors have been told they will be done with the shoot on June 5th.”

If the June release date holds, what will Sprint say to all those employees they wouldn’t let vacation in May?
