Imation has begun shipping its new SSD line including the M-class and S-class SSDs. Imation is also shipping upgrade kits that include the new SSDs for upgrading computers. The upgrade kits provide users an affordable way to upgrade their PC from a normal HDD to an SSD.

Upgrade kits for laptops include a 2.5-inch SSD, Acronis True Image HD software for data transfer, and a USB-to-SATA or SATA-to-SATA connector cable. Desktop upgrade kits include a 3.5-inch SSD, Acronis True image HD software, and a SATA connector and power cable.

Imation promises that its SSDs will increase data transfer speeds, access times, and boot times. The M-class SSDs are available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities with pricing starting at $189.99. The S-Class SSDs are available in the same capacities with pricing starting at $659.99. Upgrade kits in 64GB or 128GB are available starting at $299.99 for M-class and $1299.99 for S-class.
