Today Apple designer Tommasco Gecchelin has released his preliminary design ideas for the highly-anticipated rumor-ridden MacBook Touch. Apple has not officially confirmed the Touch, but Tommasco's designs confirm what we've all been suspecting for some time.
If Apple can get their real product to work like these designs, they'll have a seriously revolutionary product on their hands. The main twist Apple has put on the Touch is its ability to be folded in half and work as a notebook, or laid flat and used as a huge tablet, or even as a desktop monitor. You can see all the designs here.
On the designs, the weight is listed to be just 1 kg, with a diagonal length of 13". Folded as a notebook, the 'screen' half will be 8.5" across. If Apple can get it to actually fit those specs, the Touch will be every sketch artist's dream come true. A notebook, a sketchpad, and a canvas all in one for just about two pounds of weight.
Looks like Apple nerds have one more reason to love this year. Apple is on one hell of a roll.
