Yesterday rumors of a new smaller Palm phone (mini-Pre) appeared. Suddenly a rumor storm broke loose and now we are looking at a rather likely new Palm phone dubbed Palm Eos that is coming to AT&T and is only 10.6mm thick.
According to Engadget who got a photo and some specifications of the Palm Eos the new thin webOS smartphone sports a 2.63-inch, 320 x 400px capacitive display, 2MP camera, and 4GB internal storage.
Overall measurements of the Palm Eos are supposed to be a just 55mm x 111 x10.6mm and it just weighs 100g.
These measurements would be really neat. The question will be if this slim smartphone will pack enough performance and long enough battery life to be really usable.
Sprint is getting the Palm Pre and as it looks Palm plays it open with carriers and offers the Palm Eos via AT&T, which carries the iPhone.
There are still some question marks on if this Palm Eos story really turns out this way. I am not sure if the talk about a new Palm phone is really good for the Palm Pre launch.
